This is a test of the new server!

Hmmm... why does Genius include "The Weight" in practically every playlist it creates for me? Is it a really huge Band fan, or is "The Weight" an all-purpose song (I thought that was "Silvio"...), or what? Apparently "The Weight" goes with everything. (Maybe it does.)

!!!! They played "Long Promised Road" on Life On Mars tonight! Not only that, but it was the key song, over the closing montage, not just a background thing. It was so weird--I couldn't even register what it was at first, it was so familiar to me from my childhood. (Very weirdly, Surf's Up was one of the few albums my family owned when I was little. Head hit Hard on a Saturday night, and they both keep puttin' me down.) My brain was so swept up, I couldn't even put it in context as a Beach Boys song. Very effective, Life On Mars dudes! I am impressed.

Okay, I made a new campaign poster! Actually this one's a bumper sticker.

(And our ballot will have a spot for write-ins... you can see it if you look at the fine print of the picture in the Ber Citizen. Good. But still grrrr that Libertarians aren't listed in Connecticut!)

What the heck!! I just brought in this week's issue of The Berlin Citizen, and in the "Get Out And Vote!" article it says, "The first row of the ballot is for 'Presidential Electors.' The choices are: Republican McCain and Palin; Democrat Obama and Biden; Independent Nader and Gonzalez." Does that mean Bob Barr's not on the ballot in Connecticut??? How am I going to vote for a Libertarian??

Note to future self: the small single-serving size bottles of freshly-squeezed orange juice at Stew's are exactly the right size to make seitan skewers with no leftovers! (Also: warm apple cider donut = exquisite. Mmmmm.) I forgot that tomorrow's Halloween already and was wondering why all the cashiers at Stew's were dressed so weird.

P.S. The new extra-long daylight savings time is the best idea ever. I love coming home in the non-dark, in October! It ends this weekend though. :(

The green head finally died! I bet it was the oldest balloon head EVER!

Good news: it's not the hard drive! It's the video card processor fan. Dean is attempting to fix/rig it.

[Edit: It didn't work, so he fixed/rigged it by unplugging it. Now my computer is lots quieter! Even when it's on, I mean.]

Wow, it's so weirdly quiet in my room. I had to turn off my computer this afternoon because it started making this horrible loud spinny buzzy/raspy sound. Not good. (I'm writing this on my Treo.)

I love my new tires. They're so grippy! It was dark all day today. Steel gray sky, rain. I didn't even know it was daytime.

Wow it's so quiet.
