More Actual Good Things About Autumn: #15. Halloween weddings with perfect autumnal trimmings #16. Fall Tango trips to tropical climes :-) #17. Winter skirts! I love LOVE the dark brown suederine (looks like real suede!) skirt I got a few weeks ago at the Glastonbury consignment place... wore it as my Northern Travel Outfit with tights, and it was very comfortable and utterly unwrinkleable. Today at Uptown, I bought a gorgeous real suede tan skirt that also fits perfectly. (No mods necessary for either! Amazing.) I can't wait to wear it. I wonder if I'll be able to keep wearing them into winter, with my tights?? I also snagged a cashmere pullover exactly like one I was eyeing last year at the J. Crew store (same beautiful color and everything), but it was about 1/3 the price and still has the "remove this tag before wearing" thingy on it. I ♥ consignment stores! (Loving consignment stores happens all year around.)

I'm so tired tonight, at only 9:00! I was lying in my chaise reading my netbook and I kept dozing off. Weird. Maybe I've been wishing I could get some more sleep for about 12 days and now I actually can.

Man in Big Y parking lot: Hello. Me: Hi. Him: You just look so cute! Me, laughing: Thank you!
Wearing a Gap Kids skirt helps, probably. I wish this skirt was lined, though! It doesn't behave as well as I'd like with tights.

My eyes are sooooooo wonky today! What the heck. They were fine for the whole trip.

Almost all the trees lost their leaves while we were away! Snagged this pretty one at the post office when I picked up our mail. Bob's Christmas album still sounds great. Nice day out: cloudy and calm. 60s. I LOVE MY TIGHTS. Best transitional weather item ever, along with arm warmers. Both were so fantastic on our trip, and now, too.

I'm back! There's nothing like a nice big sleep in your own bed after a trip! Nice. :-) Got home late late last night (aka early this morning) and didn't go to bed until around 5 AM, so my early bird trip schedule is officially cancelled right out. Haha. We flew home from North Carolina last night instead of this afternoon to avoid the coming winds/rains from tropical storm Ida. It was a very peaceful trip, so quiet on the airwaves. And we listened to the 80s station on XM radio while flying along (I tried to ID the songs) (the best part was when they played "Mr. Roboto"!!) (performed by Jeffster on the season finale of Chuck!), so I wasn't snoozy at all.
We stopped in Norfolk, VA for fuel since the FBO at the Gs airport in Louisburg was closed after-hours, but they were out of low-lead (non-jet) fuel! Insane!! The lineman told us the Governor of VA was also stuck there waiting, and we walked by his big entourage (and him, I guess, but I don't know what he looks like) as we left (after hanging around for a while... Dean brought his dinner and ate it there). We only had 1/2 hour of fuel left, but Dean found another airport (Hampton Roads airport in Chesapeake, VA) that had 24-hour self serve and was only 8 minutes away, so we made it there and gave Tango a nice big drink. Not sure where the Governor went, although we saw his gang leaving in their big twin at the same time we did...
Anyway, the whole thing was a great trip! June's wedding was really laid-back and cool (I had lots of fun taking photos and videos), the entire sky trip part was really enjoyable, Long Island Bahamas was very relaxing, our hotel room on the way back in Fort Lauderdale was niiiiiice, and I got to stay at my Gs a little extra while Dean briefly went to Atlanta. I have a bunch of notes from during the trip and I'll back-post them in the next few days. The Wi-Fi connection was really sketchy in Stella Maris (Bahamas place), and plus it's a killer to try to write detailed entries while also trying to enjoy a trip, so I took a break from my usual postfulness.
