As for the ending, I think I like Cross of Maximilian. Good ending to this four part second season. Of course we know Klaus isn't dead--he's wounded like Nosferatu, made to retreat away until a future battle with Alexander. But, I preferred the vampire Klaus made by Lucard much better than the one made by Richard. This new Klaus is truly mad!! This one I don't see quoting Shakespeare with Lucard.
As for Cassandra, I kind of suspected that she was out for herself, but she should have paid attention to other vampires who have tried and failed. I have a feeling even if she did stay with Lucard and work by his side, he would have disposed of her eventually. It seems he has a hard time keeping assistants.
Quite a bit of action going on here, isn't there? There's quite a bit of suspense floating around...
All I can say is that it's good to see Lucard on top again. The zombie training was a fun touch.
Out of the four outlines, I'd have to say that this is the one most like the spirit of season one, but that's just my opinion.
I am for the first time in DTS history beginning to actually be glad that the series was cancelled! If this was the way that things were supposed to go, I am happy to see that it never happened! I can't stand these storylines! Then again, maybe it's just me. I really wanted to see Klaus rehabilitated, and it looks like we are getting anything but. This scenario is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Kinda like cold congealed blood. Makes me want to warm these episodes up in the microwave! Permanently! I think I'll stick with the fan fic versions.
The thing I liked most about this episode is the ending. I love the idea of having Dracula appear at the Helsing house. I also like the part where Klaus gets staked and flies away. I hope we will be reading more second season episodes soon.
